INTRODUCTION TO WALKER LEARNING PLAY-BASED CURRICULUM – EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

This session is an introductory presentation of the key elements of Walker Learning in the early years.

 

Walker Learning is a play-based approach to teaching and learning which is implemented across Australia and internationally in early childhood education.

It provides systems for educators using play based, intentional teaching with child development evidence as its basis.

This session provides an overview of how to implement Walker Learning in an early childhood program in preschools and childcare centres.

Including:

  • The research and philosophy of Walker Learning
  • How to set up rich beautiful learning environments
  • Explicit teaching strategies for linking literacy and numeracy
  • mplementation strategies for early childhood educators and teams.
