EARLY CHILDHOOD PLAY MATTERS - Introduction to Walker Learning PLAY-BASED Curriculum.                                                                                             

What is Walker Learning in early childhood? Play, intentional teaching and child development is at the heart of Walker Learning, a pedagogy developed by Kathy Walker (OAM).

In this session we will unpack:

  • Core elements of the pedagogy
  • The Walker Learning system of planning and documentation
  • The importance of relationships, the learning environment and the child
  • Implementation of consistent practice

This PD session suitable for teachers and educators working with children aged birth to five working in early childhood centres (prior to primary school)

A copy of the educator text "Early Childhood Play Matters", authored by Kathy Walker will be included in this session. ( RR $55)
