Childhood and play: Back on the agenda

It is pleasing to have witnessed a number of major media outlets promoting the need for children to play, to create and to relax.
It is vital that society at large responds to the growing body of evidence that strongly endorses that young children must have time to play. Parents, teachers and policy makers must ensure that we are not rushing, overscheduling and raising expectations higher and higher for children at a younger and younger age.
